About Us
It all started with Mama Makarian making mediterranean pastries as a hobby. Always making sweets during the holidays, for parties and potlucks. Her loving daughter and husband came up with the idea to make it into a business. The business was named after their daughter Athena out love, as she is so sweet. That’s how the name, “Athena’s Mediterranean Sweets & Treats,” came to be.
Everyone has their designated pastry of creation. While Mama makes Baklava, Papa makes Date Truffles and Athena makes Kourabia Cookies. Many more pastries made from each, and all of which are made with love.
